Sections of four Plano roadways will see closures over the next week as construction continues on Dallas Area Rapid Transit's Silver Line.

What's happening

Improvements will be taking place where the railway intersects with President George Bush Turnpike, K Avenue, Municipal Avenue and Shiloh Road, according to a news release from the city.

Full road closures are planned from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. on the following days:
  • President George Bush Turnpike Westbound Frontage Road, March 20
  • K Avenue, March 21
  • Municipal Avenue March 24
  • Shiloh Road, March 25
The background

The DART Silver Line is a $1.8 billion, 26-mile commuter rail that will connect Plano to the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, and is expected to be operational in late 2025 or early 2026.
