Two-minute impact
Registered voters on their way to the polls via DART should present their voter registration card or government-issued ID and they can ride at no cost, according to a news release from the transit agency. The promotion applies to DART buses, trains, paratransit services and the Trinity Railway Express between EBJ Union Station and CentrePort/DFW Airport Station.
For GoLink, riders can enter promo code VOTEPRES at checkout for a complimentary local day pass, according to the news release.
DART operates several bus routes in Plano and Richardson, according to its system map. The transit agency also operates six GoLink zones across Plano and a portion of Richardson.
DART’s trip planner can show riders how to get to their chosen destination using services provided by the transit agency.

Early voting polls are open through Nov. 1. Election officials are operating 42 polling locations across Collin County. Election Day will be held from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Nov. 5.
Collin County residents can vote at any location during early voting or on Election Day, according to the county website. A full list of early voting locations and Election Day locations can be found on Collin County’s website.
So far during early voting, more than 266,000 Collin County residents have already cast their ballots in person or by mail.
For Richardson residents in Dallas County, two early voting locations are open through Nov. 1. Election officials will open 18 polling locations in Richardson on Election Day. A map of early voting locations and Election Day locations can be found on Dallas County’s website.
Dallas County voters can vote at any polling location during early voting and on Election Day.
