Plano residents can expect to see restoration work at Arbor Hills Nature Preserve after City Council approved an erosion control contract.

Plano City Council members approved a $1.2 million erosion rehabilitation project at their Aug. 11 meeting for two locations within Arbor Hills.

Work will take place at the northeastern pedestrian bridge on the main trail loop and behind the main entrance pavilions, where both areas have been impacted by ongoing erosion issues, according to city documents.

The contract, awarded to Austin Filter Systems, is funded by the 2024-25 municipal drainage community investment program, according to city documents.
