There's no shortage of country music in Plano this month, with performances from a Garth Brooks tribute band and the award-winning Chad Cooke Band. More events include ballet performances and an Asian culture festival. Check out all eight Plano events for April and May.

Comedy Madness with Michael Quu

Comedian Michael Quu will perform for two nights at Mic Drop comedy club. A Long Island native, Quu started his comedy career in New York City, and is currently one of the premiere touring comedians in the U.S. and Canada, according to his online bio.

Garth Brooks tribute concert

Shameless, a Garth Brooks tribute band, will perform at the Lexus Box Garden in Legacy Food Hall. Shameless’ singer is Van Chapman, who has played music tributes for more than 60 years, according to the event organizers.Plano Library 60th Anniversary April Art Experience


In honor of the Plano Library’s 60th anniversary, Haggard library will host an art exhibition featuring artwork from the local community. The artwork will include watercolors and collages.

Chad Cooke Band at Love & War in Texas

Houston-based Chad Cooke Band will bring their flavor of country crooning to restaurant and live music venue Love & War in Texas. Chad Cooke Band won band of the year at the 2024 Texas Country Music Awards, according to the Texas Country Music Association.Haley Marie at the Boardwalk

Classically trained flautist and pianist Haley Marie will perform at the Granite Park Boardwalk. Marie has sold out Carnegie Hall in New York City three times, according to her website.Limitless: Fear Set Free Ballet

Ballet Papillon’s spring production, Limitless: Fear set free, will perform at the Courtyard Theater at Plano Stages. Papillon is a nonprofit ballet company based in Dallas.Peter and the Starcatcher


Enjoy Outcry Theatre’s production of “Peter and the Starcatcher” at the Cox Playhouse. The is a theatrical adaptation of Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson’s 2004 novel “Peter and the Starcatchers,” about a group of Victorian England boys who get shipped off to a mysterious island.AsiaFest 2025

Nonprofit organization Celebrating Asian American Heritage Foundation will host the 21st annual Plano Asian American Heritage Festival at Haggard Park in downtown Plano. The festival will feature performances from Asian artistic traditions and local food vendors, according to a press release.
