Stephanie Weeks, Visit Plano social media manager said The Kati Roll Company is slated to open Aug. 24 in Plano.

“Kati rolls are a popular street food found all over Kolkata, India,” the company website states. “The word “kati” literally means skewer, and kati rolls are made of skewer-grilled ingredients, stuffed in buttery paratha flatbread and topped with chutneys and spices.”

In addition to kati rolls, menu items include momos, which are Indo-Tibetan dumplings and lassi—a traditional Indian yogurt smoothie.
