Officials said the decision to proceed with Friday night fireworks has to be made each year in March. At that time, they said conditions at Lake Grapevine due to rain were such that they could not predict with confidence that the lake parks and parking lots would be available for safe use. However, the Fourth of July fireworks show as well as the Labor Day weekend show will take place if lake conditions are such that it is safe for the public to view both from the lake parks and on the water. The July 4 fireworks show features a 26-minute show set to patriotic music. The event is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. at Oak Grove Park, 2520 Oak Grove Loop South, Grapevine.
