The final section of the Cotton Belt Trail, a paved path between Colleyville and Grapevine, is set to open April 15. The city of Collevyille will hold a grand opening and ribbon cutting for the trail at 11:15 a.m. on April 15 at the northeast corner of John McCain Road and SH 26 on the trail. Parking will be available across the street at 7101 Colleyville Blvd., Colleyville. To make a reservation for the grand opening, contact Joyce Williams at 817-503-1111. Cyclists, runners and walkers will be able to use the trail to travel from North Richland Hills to Grapevine uninterrupted. A "pocket" park has also been constructed at the corner of Colleyville Boulevard and John McCain Road. It offers a shaded, scenic route and a rest area with bench seating as well as a multi-function drinking fountain.
