Anjali Shirvaikar trailed Noskin slightly with 3,536 votes, or 35.9 percent, for the Place 2 seat while Phil Ramirez earned 2,457 votes, or 24.9 percent.

Results are unofficial until canvassed.

Steven Noskin, a business owner and an FISD parent, said if elected he would focus on the district's responsibility, transparency and communications. Noskin said the district already does a great job with all these issues, but given his business and construction background he said he can help enhance them.

Shirvaikar is an FISD parent and an IT consultant. If elected, Shirvaikar said she would like to see the district continue with its small schools model and small class size. She would also like to see the district maintain its relationships with the city and community partners.

Ramirez is an FISD parent, a math teacher at the Collin College Preston Ridge campus and a small business owner in Frisco. Ramirez said he would like to start a discussion concerning the lack of final exams and the re-testing policy. He also said he would like to improve and build stronger relationships between FISD and the local colleges and universities.
