Green said she was urged to run because she has the time to dedicate to the city. "I've put in a lot of time already for the city, and I want to make sure that we continue on our path of great growth that we've had," she said. "But [I] also want to be responsible too and make sure we keep our taxes intact." If elected, Green said she would like to focus on public safety, transportation and infrastructure. She said she would like to ensure that each area, especially the police department, receives the proper funding. "My No. 1 priority is public safety," she said. "With what's going on around the world and what's going on in the United States, we have to be mindful and have to have a plan ready to protect our citizens." Green said her time as an attorney has given her experience in making budgets and gathering evidence before making important decisions, both skills she said would help her in her role on City Council. Green has been appointed to the city's Red Light Camera Advisory Board and was elected class president of Leadership Frisco Class No. 9. She has also served on the Frisco Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Frisco Noon Rotary Club and the Collin County Child Protective Services board. "I love this city," she said. "I've been here 14 years, and I have given my time to this city." Eric Hall and Shona Huffman have also filed for Place 2. Filing for Frisco City Council opened Jan. 20 and will last until Feb. 19.
