1. Lebanon Road improvements


Repairs are being made to stabilize a slope failure at Lebanon Road and the BNSF railroad bridge. A construction contract was awarded in August, and construction began in October.


Timeline: October 2015-TBD
Cost: $242,000 (south portion), $243,429 (north portion)
Funding sources: city of Frisco, local homeowners association



2. Dallas Parkway widening


Construction is expected to begin this month to add another lane in each direction to Dallas Parkway. The project will take place on the northbound and southbound sides of the road from SH 121 to Lebanon Road. Improvements will also take place at the Dallas Parkway intersections of Warren Parkway and Lebanon Road.

Cost: $8.2 million

3. CR 26 construction


The design is complete to construct a new north-south roadway that will go from Rockhill Parkway to US 380. CR 26 will be six lanes. Right of way acquisition is underway.

4. Custer Road widening


Construction began in October to widen Custer Road from four lanes to six lanes. The project stretches from SH 121 to Stonebridge Drive and includes modifications to the existing traffic signals.

Funding sources: city of Frisco, Collin County, TxDOT



Transportation UpdatesRockhill Parkway


Construction on Rockhill Parkway is a few months away from being complete. The new six-lane divided roadway will be extended from Preston Road to CR 26. A bridge for the road is also being constructed as part of the project.


The project is separated into two parts: from CR 26 to Dallas Parkway and from Dallas Parkway to Preston Road. Collin County is contributing to the cost of the project.


Timeline: March 2016
Cost: $8.9 million (CR 26 to Dallas Parkway), $23.5 million (Dallas Parkway to Preston Road)
