Frisco's Citizen Bond Committee took its first look at all the bond proposals combined during the Jan. 12 meeting.
The grand total for the original requested projects equals $369,159,617. But city staff has also looked at the proposals and has made recommended changes to the project costs, bringing the adjusted total to $260,825,000.
Assistant City Manager Nell Lange said the adjusted total is what the city thinks it can afford for these projects while also keeping the tax rate down.
The city staff did not have adjusted totals for the library or court proposal because they were included in a proposed project to expand city hall, Lange said. She said Collin County has also expressed interest in moving one of its justice of the peace courts to city hall if it is expanded.
The committee will take a tour Jan. 14 of the facilities that have been discussed in bond proposal. Then, the committee will continue finalizing the proposals before presenting them to the council at the end of this month.
