The Collin College Foundation awarded scholarships to 53 students from Frisco for the 2014-2015 academic year, according to the college's communications office.
The foundation awarded 501 scholarships this year totaling more than $600,000.
Most foundation scholarships are worth $1,250 for an academic year, and award selection is based on academic achievement and financial need.
The foundation will also accept applications for spring scholarships from Oct. 1 through 30. For a full list of scholarship winners as well as information about the scholarships, visit www.collin.edu/foundation.
