Former Carroll Middle School principal Matt Miller was named Assistant Superintendent for Administrative Services this week, to replace Derek Citty, according to a release from district spokeswoman Julie Thannum.
Citty left in July to become superintendent in Aledo ISD.
Miller, who will oversee personnel and policy, facility maintenance and transportation services, joins three other assistant superintendents. The district plans to use an interim principal at the middle school until an interview committee begins searching for a replacement.
Miller has 18 years of experience in public education, the release says, including teaching high school and coaching.
He earned a bachelor of arts in education from York College in Nebraska , and a master's I educational administration at UNT. He has worked in the Grapevine-Colleyville ISD and in River Oaks.
Miller and his wife, Colleen, have three sons who attend Carroll schools.
