Anthony Bologna and Suzi Fitzgerald both had a common interest in high school: graphic arts.

"We had an art class together, and that's when we met and got to know each other better," Suzi said.

After graduating high school in Lancaster, New York, they both moved to Houston in 1980. They dabbled in working for different graphics businesses, designing graphics and logos for companies.

The couple eventually got married and settled down in Southlake in 1998. Together the Bolongas founded Lone Star Stitching in Grapevine in April 2006. The business will relocate to a permanent location next door to Vignettes in early February.

They do custom embroidery on fleece jackets, towels, polo shirts, tote bags and even lingerie. Customers can bring in their own logos, designs or just a rough idea for an embroidery. Every order is personalized to fit the customer's needs.

"If my name goes on it, it better be good and it better be right," Suzi said.
