Main Street is reduced to one lane for eastbound and westbound traffic at Main Street and Interurban Street through the first quarter of 2021, according to the city.
The lane reductions are due to a utility project happening as part of the Main Street redevelopment. The city hopes the project will bring new life to the area. Roadway changes for the redevelopment began Oct. 1 and are expected to last through the end of the next year, according to the city.
The city encourages drivers to use alternate east-west routes, including Spring Valley Road and Arapaho Road.
