A study by PartCatalog shows that Texas is among the top 10 most dangerous states to drive in during the Christmas holiday.

Using data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the study averaged vehicle fatalities from 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve to 11:59 p.m. on Christmas from all 50 states over a five-year period. The data was then cross referenced with the number of registered drivers in each state according to the Bureau of Transportation Statistics.

Texas ranked No. 9, with 2.07 fatalities per one million registered drivers, according to the study. Mississippi ranked first, with 3.02 fatalities per one million drivers.

The top 10 most dangerous states to drive in during Christmas are as follows.
