Highland Village residents will have the chance to speak at two upcoming public hearings to weigh in on whether City Council should grant a conditional-use permit to a video arcade business.

The first hearing will occur Nov. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Highland Village Planning and Zoning Commission meeting. The final hearing will be hosted by Highland Village City Council on Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m.

If the permit is granted, a new video arcade business will be allowed to open at The Shops at Highland Village. A permit is required to open an arcade business at that location, as the area is zoned as a planned development retail zoning district.
