Per the release, Melissa Road offers improved access for residents, businesses, and visitors, connecting Parkland Crescent directly to US 75.
“Opening Melissa Road to Trinity Falls marks a major milestone for our community," Trinity Fall vice president and general manager Jerry Ulke said in the release. "This development not only enhances connectivity but also supports our continued growth and expansion. We’re excited to offer our residents better access to [US] 75, creating a smoother journey whether they’re heading to work, school or play.”
According to the release, the road will allow faster travel to and from major roadways and commercial hubs, potentially improving commute time and accommodating expected growth in the area. The roadway also includes pedestrian walkways and green spaces, and monuments are expected to be added along the roadway following the opening.
According to an August update on the McKinney Municipal Utility District 2’s website, the road was expected to be completed in December.
