Teams from the University of West Florida and Minnesota State University will go head to head this weekend in McKinney during the 2019 NCAA Division II National Football Championship, according to a Dec. 16 city news statement.

The 2019 NCAA game at the McKinney ISD Stadium, located at 4201 S. Hardin Blvd, McKinney, is on Dec. 21. Kickoff is at 2 p.m.

Tickets range from $20 for general admission to $25 for reserved seats.

The game will also be televised on ESPNU.

Throughout the weekend several community events will be held for traveling fans and McKinney residents.


A Fan Fest celebration will be held from 6-8 p.m. Dec. 20 at Tupps Brewery, located at 721 Anderson St., McKinney. This free event will feature a pep rally and musical entertainment, including a battle between the college bands, and food and drinks will be available for purchase.

From Dec. 20-22, an event called Tacos, Tequila and Cerveza will be open to the public and will feature a competition between restaurants for the best taco and drink combo.
