Following the fourth confirmation of West Nile virus carrying mosquitoes in McKinney, the city will conduct two sprays starting at 10 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, according to a city news release.

With weather permitting, the sprays will take place within a mile radius of 5713 Littleport Road and McKinney Community Center, located at 2001 S. Central Expressway.

Residents are advised to stay indoors Wednesday evening, as well as bring in their pets and their food and water bowls, according to the release.

Signs will be posted at major intersection indicating spray activity.

Residents who do not want their property sprayed must contact City of McKinney Health Compliance by 4 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 10.
