Anchor Church will open its recently completed campus for its first service March 26, according to a news release.

Construction began on the nearly 11-acre site, located at 3921 Community Ave., in March 2022, only the first phase of the $11.5 million project. The facility includes an over 26,000-square-foot church that has capacity for 600 adults and 150 children.

The church’s opening day will include services at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., and over 1,000 members are expected to attend, according to a news release.

The facility also has small group and event spaces, as well as a media production studio. The church was designed by BGW Architects, and Crossland served as the general contractor for the project.

The organization plans to expand the facility in coming years, according to senior pastor Jeff Jenkins. The church plans to purchase an additional 10 acres of land to expand the facility to 55,000 square feet and more than double its occupancy.

The future expansion would also include adding a preschool, a community outreach center, a university for missions and more, according to the news release. Planning for the expansion could begin this year.
