Desi District, a high-end grocery store and restaurant, is planning to open a location at 5400 Collin McKinney Parkway, McKinney. McKinney City Council approved plans for the store at its May 18 meeting. The shell building at this address will be converted with about 3,000 square feet going to the grocery section. The remaining 2,000 square feet will be allocated for the restaurant, which will serve Indian fusion cuisine such as chicken tikka kati rolls, buttery chicken tikka burgers and paneer tacos.
