McKinney ISD seniors have the opportunity to apply for trade school or college scholarships through the McKinney Education Foundation.

The scholarship application is open until Thursday, Dec. 19. Scholarships can be used at a trade school, 2-year or 4-year college and university.

Measuring the impact

The foundation awarded the largest amount in the foundation’s history to MISD’s 2024 graduating seniors with 380 students receiving a total of $825,150 in scholarships.

The foundation supports the district through student scholarships and educational grants. It also provides college advisors at each of MISD’s high schools to assist students with guidance and resources for higher education.

Since being founded in 1991, the foundation has awarded over 7,000 MISD students with scholarships totaling $10 million. The foundation’s college advisors have also helped students earn nearly $250 million in external scholarships.

For more information on scholarships or applying for college, students can contact the MEF College Advisor located on each of the high school campuses.
