Oregon-based Dutch Bros Coffee opened in a second McKinney location March 24.

The 950-square-foot kiosk, located at 1605 Eldorado Parkway, offers drive-thru lanes where customers can order from the extensive Dutch Bros coffee menu. 2. Leaf Cafe

Leaf Cafe opened in east McKinney on March 22 following renovations.

3. TexaKona FM


TexaKona FM 107 Beverages & Bites, a rock 'n' roll-themed drink shop in east McKinney, opened in late 2022.

4. White Box Roastery Co.


White Box Roastery Co., a new coffee shop concept, is expected to open in June, according to owner Danisa Laskowski.

The coffee shop will be located at 610 Elm St., Ste. 1340, inside The McKinney Cotton Mill. The coffee shop will offer coffees, teas, pastries and more, Laskowski said. The coffee will use single-origin coffee beans, showcasing natural flavors from the coffee’s origin, she said. www.whiteboxroastery.com

5. Dutch Bros Coffee

A third Dutch Bros Coffee location is being constructed in McKinney at the intersection of Lake Forest Drive and US 380. A spokesperson for the company said this location is expected to open by June.


McKinney’s first Dutch Bros Coffee shop opened in May 2021 on Custer Road. The Oregon-based coffee franchise has several locations throughout the West Coast and features a variety of coffee-blended drinks, energy drinks, teas and smoothies. www.dutchbros.com

6. Black Rock Coffee Bar

Black Rock Coffee Bar is expected to open its first McKinney location in the fourth quarter of 2023, according to a representative of the company.

7. Lelo’s Coffee Co.

A new cafe and coffee roastery concept from McKinney-based Lelo’s Coffee Co. is expected to open this summer. The coffee shop will occupy a space on Tupps Brewery’s new east McKinney site, co-owner Sandy Davis said. The business, to be located at 402 E. 8. Collective Coffee

Collective Coffee, a new coffee shop, is expected to open in Historic Downtown McKinney in 2023.

The coffee shop, to be located at 301 W. Louisiana St., Unit 102, is a new concept that will serve a variety of coffee drinks made with Edison coffee, along with teas sourced from another downtown McKinney business, Spice & Tea Merchants, a representative of the business said. 9. Seven Brew Coffee

Arkansas-based Seven Brew Coffee is planning a new location in McKinney. The drive-thru-only coffee concept is proposed on part of the land formerly used for Bill Smith’s Cafe at the northwest corner of US 380 and Sharon Lane. 10. Wake and Bakery Coffee

Wake and Bakery Coffee is set to open its doors this year at 109 N. Kentucky St. in McKinney. The downtown shop will offer coffee drinks as well as baked goods, such as pastries and muffins.
