Construction on the nearly $70 million McKinney ISD stadium and event center, located at the northeast corner of the intersection of SH 121 and Hardin Boulevard, is underway, and on Sept. 25 the MISD board of trustees toured the facility.

The community event center is expected to be complete by the end of March, district Chief Financial Officer Jason Bird said. The stadium is expected to be done in January, Bird said, but usage is dependent on infrastructure needs.
