Between comedy shows and 4th of July events, here are some events to consider attending this weekend.

Improvisational comedy shows

The Comedy Arena, 305 E. Virginia St., is hosting live improvisational comedy shows Friday and Saturday. On Friday and Saturday night from 8-9 p.m., the ComedySportz Major League Plater will compete in head-to-head clean and fast improvisational comedy.

The arena will also host The Humor Games Friday night from 10-11:30 p.m. During this improvisational comedy show, comedians will compete against each other in games and scenes based on the audience’s suggestions. The audience will score each comedian and determine the winner at the end of the night.
