Between Third Monday Trade Days, a David Grissom concert and Father's Day, there are plenty of events in McKinney to keep the whole family busy this weekend. Here are a few events to keep in mind:

Third Monday Trade Days
Attendees will find a more than 450 vendors offering home décor, clothing, accessories, sporting goods, antiques, food and more. Trade Days, located at 4550 W. University Drive, McKinney, runs Friday-Sunday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. While there is no entry fee, there is a $5 parking fee Saturday and Sunday between 7 a.m.-3 p.m. More information, including a parking map and vendor details, can we found on the event's website.

Dallas North Tollway closure
All northbound and southbound lanes on the Dallas North Tollway will close this weekend near Legacy Drive in Plano. Construction crews will continue work to add a U-turn lane near the new Legacy West development. The DNT will close near Legacy Drive Friday at 11 p.m. and remain closed through Sunday at 5 a.m.

David Grissom Concert
This concert will take place at the Sanctuary Music & Events, 6633 Virginia Parkway, McKinney, from 8-11:30 p.m. Tickets range from $10-$150, depending on the seat, and are available here.

Friday and Saturday


McKinney DASH, or Downtown Area Shuttle, will offer free rides to and from parking lots and storefronts in downtown.[/caption]

Free shuttle rides
The city of McKinney has partnered with the McKinney Convention and Visitors Bureau, the McKinney Community Development Corp. and local businesses to offer free shuttle rides in downtown McKinney. The program, called McKinney DASH, or Downtown Area Shuttle, will operate Friday-Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and 6-10 p.m. Those wishing to take a ride with DASH should wave down the driver or call 469-733-3274.

Father’s Day


Dads, Dogs & Cars
Hosted by the Oxford Grand Assisted Living & Memory Care, this event includes a car show, music, a cookout, Grisham Farms petting zoo and pet adoptions from the Collin County Animal Shelter and SPCA of North Texas. The free event will be held at the Oxford, 2851 Orchid Drive, McKinney, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. More information can be found on the Oxford’s website.

All you can eat barbecue
Hutchins BBQ, located at 1301 N. Tennessee St., McKinney, invites fathers and families to enjoy all-you-can-eat barbecue. Meals are $20.99 per person and the event will run from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. For more information, call Hutchins BBQ at 972-548-2629.
