City sees rough draft of 9-acre site development The rendering provides a general idea of where elements will be placed.[/caption]

The city of McKinney will host an open house meeting at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 15 at City Hall, 222 N. Tennessee St., to view updated renderings and elevations from Columbus Realty Partners, Ltd. of the nine-acre site in downtown.

The city held a public hearing during the City Council meeting Tuesday, Aug. 18 to solicit feedback on the site and façade plans for the development. However, the council tabled plans indefinitely to allow city staff and the developer to address council's concerns regarding the design.

The site will consist of a mixed-use development on city-owned property, which was formerly the home of the Collin County Courthouse, located at the southwest corner of Davis and McDonald streets.
