A new east McKinney Autozone location opened Aug. 9, according to a representative of the business.

The store, located in the Virginia Square Shopping Center on the northeast corner of US 75 and West Virginia Parkway, is the sixth Autozone location in McKinney.

Memphis-based Autozone has over 6,000 stores across the U.S., including nearly 700 in Texas, according to the business’s website. The store offers a variety of automotive replacement parts and accessories, according to its website.

Totaling about 40,000 square feet, the space was previously occupied by Super One Foods and Brookshire’s. The building was renovated to split the previous grocery store into two retail spaces as well as to raise the roof and renovate the exterior facade. The other half of the split space is occupied by Northern Tool and Equipment, which opened in June.
