McKinney Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Lisa Hermes has been appointed vice chair of the Midwest Board of Regents, a regional board of the Institute for Organizational Management, according to a news release.
The Institute for Organizational Management is the professional development program of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The organization includes a national board of trustees, as well as four regional boards, according to its website. Each regional board hosts an annual training lasting five days that includes education and training relating to nonprofit management.
Hermes completed the Institute’s training program in 2009, and has held various leadership positions within the Institute program since 2015, according to the news release. Her position as vice chair includes implementing policies set by the board of trustees, as well as implementing the Institute’s program through the annual training sessions. Hermes has served as the McKinney Chamber of Commerce president and CEO since 2014.
