A new wedding venue debuted in McKinney with Bluebird Cottage Wedding Venue & Event Center.

In 2018 Bluebird Cottage and Cafe opened at 3711 FM 1461 in McKinney. The property rebranded in 2021 as Bluebird Cottage Event Center with for-rent space for both public and private events after the owner had to halt restaurant operations in late 2020 due to COVID-19 struggles. In August 2022 the wedding venue was officially launched to include a 2,600-square-foot wedding tent, dining space, a fully equipped kitchen, a bridal suite and a wraparound porch on an acre of outdoor space.
