Correction: A previous version of this story said Dynacraft had a 150,000-square-foot facility in Louisville, Texas. This has been corrected to Louisville, Kentucky.
Truck manufacturer PACCAR broke ground on its new manufacturing facility Oct. 12 at the northeast corner of Wilmeth Road and Redbud Boulevard. The 130,000-square-foot facility will be used for PACCAR's Dynacraft division.
Construction on the facility is expected to be complete in 2018, according to a news release from the city.
"We are excited to welcome such a reputable company to McKinney," McKinney Economic Development Corp. President Darrell Auterson said in the release. "We're continuing to see momentum in the number of businesses that want to make McKinney home. Partnerships like this one with PACCAR are moving us forward in the right direction."
Under an incentive agreement with the MEDC, PACCAR will make capital investments of over $20 million and bring 200 jobs to the community over the next six years.
Founded in 1968, Dynacraft provides PACCAR’s truck manufacturing and parts service divisions “high-quality components, subassemblies and specialized services,” according to the company website. Today, Dynacraft supplies more than 25,000 component and assembly part numbers for Peterbilt and Kenworth vehicles.
Dynacraft is headquartered in Algona, Washington, and has a 150,000-square-foot facility in Louisville, Kentucky.
