The Houston-based restaurant that offers kolaches, a variety of donuts and breakfast beverages like coffee and orange juice. Building renovations for the new doughnut shop will start in August and are estimated to be completed by January, according to a filing from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.

8. Buchanan Orthodontics
The dental practice reached its 30th anniversary in McKinney Aug. 26, owner Jennifer Buchanan said. The business offers braces for children and adults at its west McKinney office, per its website. The team at Dr. Buchanan Orthodontics also supports the community through the Shoes for Smiles program, which provides new shoes to children in need, as well as Smiles Charity, which has provided 23 mortgage-free homes for veterans over the past 18 years, Buchanan said.
