Lewisville Fire Chief Timothy Tittle died early in the morning of Jan. 20 after years of battling cancer, according to officials.
Tittle worked for the Lewisville Fire Department for more than 40 years.
“Chief Tittle was a fighter,” said the Lewisville Fire Fighters Association in a statement on Facebook. “He aggressively battled cancer and beat it back into remission multiple times. Even during the toughest times, his loyalty and dedication to the department and the city of Lewisville never wavered. He loved being our Fire Chief.”
