The permit is subject to a three-year automatic renewal, which means it will come before the council again for reapproval in 2025, according to the June 6 agenda item.
The dealer will also not be allowed to service boats outdoors on the property; boat displays will be limited to occupy no more than 16 display spaces; and the size of the boats displayed on the property can be no more than 30 feet per boat.
Several changes were made to the specific-use permit conditions by the council, including removing a stipulation that would limit the dealer’s hours of operations to 8 a.m.-7 p.m.
“I don't want to over-regulate people,” Mayor Derek France said.
