A poll worker at a Lewisville recreation center has tested positive for COVID-19, prompting the closure of the site until 7 a.m. Oct 16.

Denton County election officials confirmed Oct. 15 that the Fred Herring Recreation Center would remain closed until the following morning while the site is sanitized.

The Lewisville polling site, located at 191 Civic Circle, will reopen for voting with a new group of workers, the county said.

Those who had extended exposure with the poll worker are being contacted and asked to quarantine.
