Denton County Public Health announced May 19 that an additional 28 cases of coronavirus have been confirmed locally, bringing the county’s total to 1,116 cases.

So far, 571 residents who were diagnosed with the virus have since recovered, 517 cases remain active and 28 residents have died due to the virus.

Forty-five Flower Mound residents, 14 Highland Village residents and 176 Lewisville residents have tested positive for the virus, according to officials.
