The site plan for a Doctor's Urgent Care medical clinic was approved by the Flower Mound Town Council during a March 7 meeting.

The unanimous approval includes two deviations, among which includes the addition of 10 extra parking spaces. The developer, who plans to have a second phase of construction at a later time, told town leaders he would prefer to lay the additional parking spaces immediately, according to Director of Planning Services Lexin Murphy.

The council also approved a proposed roof pitch for the project, another deviation in the town’s Urban Design Plan.

The building will be located east of Long Prairie Road and north of Forest Vista Drive. The Planning and Zoning Board recommended approval for the project by a 6-0 vote during the Feb. 28 town meeting.
