Friends of Coppell Nature Park, an organization dedicated to preserving the local environment through conservation and education, recently celebrated its 20-year anniversary.

The organization works to preserve Coppell Nature Park, a 66-acre enclave located at 367 Freeport Parkway within the city’s Wagon Wheel Park. To honor its 20th anniversary, Coppell City Council presented a proclamation during its Aug. 8 meeting.

Friends of Coppell Nature Park is also working on developing a nature exploration outdoor environment to go next to the Lou Duggan Biodiversity Education Center and placing monument signs to denote the nature park.
