Lewisville City Council approved a contract with Patcon Services for the project during a Feb. 3 meeting. Construction is expected to start in late February and will add a 12-inch water line and a five-foot wide sidewalk along Ace Lane.
The contract awarded cost $1,010,724.96 which includes a 5% contingency fee, according to a staff memo. The contract is funded by money reserved in the city’s capital projects fund.
City staff will provide notification and contact information to affected property owners before construction starts. Construction is expected to last 180 days and could be finished in August, according to the staff memo.
