Lewisville police have a new way for residents to quickly submit non-emergency reports.

On Sept. 30, the department announced the rollout of a new online reporting system that is “designed to make reporting incidents more convenient and efficient, according to a Lewisville Police Department post on Facebook.

In a nutshell

Available 24/7, the online tool allows residents to file and print a police report for non-emergency crimes that happen within Lewisville city limits. Upon filing, users will receive a case number and will be contacted by the department if further investigation is needed.

According to the department’s website, crimes like vandalism, theft, harassment and criminal mischief can be reported through the new system.

In cases of crimes in-progress, injury or immediate threat to safety, residents are still urged to call 9-1-1.
