The city of Lewisville and the Lewisville Parks and Recreation Department have enlisted the help of temporary workers to clean two parts of town.
A group of 200 goats were hired from Open Space Texas to remove invasive plants and other vegetation at Wayne Frady Park and Bill Weaver Arena at the rodeo grounds. The last day for the goats at Wayne Frady Park will be March 29, and then a portion of the goats will move to the rodeo arena the following week.
The details
The city has set up a selfie station where visitors can take photos with the goats, but a social media post warns there is an electric fence keeping the goats in the marked territory. A worker with the goats said the group recently helped clear land in Arlington, and some of these goats will go to Forney next to help clear a 30-acre tract of land.
