A budget amendment for Coppell’s fiscal year 2022-23 budget reflects an increase in revenue along with some holdover expenses for items purchased but not received before the previous fiscal year ended Sept. 30.

Coppell City Council approved the amendment during its Oct. 10 meeting, which included an increase in general fund revenues by about $4 million, while general fund expenditures increased by $670,466.

The overview

According to city documents, one of the main attributions for the increase is actual interest income earned in the general fund and other city funds. Included in the amended budget ordinance are two transfers totaling nearly $1.2 million for design and construction services for Fire Station No. 5, which is located at 157 S. Moore Road.

As part of the budget amendment, several adjustments to other city funds were made.
