Lewisville City Council approved an economic development agreement for a planned office and warehouse facility during its Oct. 3 meeting.
The developer, 280 Corporate LLC, plans to bring a 117,843-square-foot facility to 280 E. Corporate Drive. In compliance with the city’s Master Trail Plan, a 15-foot-wide trail easement will be located throughout the property to provide access to a public trail along Timber Creek, according to the agenda item.
The developer will also redesign and construct a retaining wall in a manner that will more easily accommodate for construction of the future hike and bike trail. In return, the city will provide a grant equal to the value of 50% of the real property taxes paid to the city for a period of five years and a one-time grant to construct a retaining wall in a manner that does not impede on the hike and bike trail easement dedicated to the city, according to the agenda.
Construction for the office and warehouse facility is approximately 60% complete, according to the agenda item.
