From escaping the heat in an air conditioned environment to soaking up some vitamin D at an outside event, this list has something for everyone. This list is not comprehensive.


Taylor Swift Party

Participants are invited to test their Taylor Swift knowledge with trivia and games at this adults only event. Attendees can also make friendship bracelets and other crafts and are encouraged to dress to represent their favorite era. Registration is required.

Party in the Park

The city of Coppell will host a pre-Independence Day event featuring live music, lawn games, a fireworks show and a 200-piece drone show. A concert by Escape, a Journey tribute band, will be followed by the Taylor Pace Orchestra performing dance hits with a jazzy flair, according to the event description. The drone show will start at 9:30 p.m., with the 18-minute firework show to follow at 9:45 p.m.


DCTA A-train Red White & Lewisville presented by CoServ

This event will feature live music and fireworks. Performances by country singer Jade Flores and Escape, a Journey tribute band will be followed by a low-level fireworks show starting at 9:40 p.m.Parade Down Parkway

The city of Coppell will host a patriotic parade which begins at Samuel Boulevard and Sandy Lake Road, travels north to Parkway Boulevard, then heads west to Town Center. Intersections along the parade route will be closed prior to the approaching parade and will remain closed until all entries have passed.

Wild DFW—Author Talk

Local author Amy Martin will discuss her newest book, Wild DFW. Attendees will learn about North Texas ecotone and natural wonders. The author will hold a book signing after the presentation. This event is for ages 11 and older.

Greater Tuna

The show is a comedy about Tuna, a small town in Texas that features the town inhabitants—men, women, children and animals—all played by two actors who must change parts at breakneck speed and use inventive voicework, according to the event description.
