Feature reporter

Karen joined Community Impact as a full time features reporter in December 2023 after working as a freelance reporter since 2011. She covers Plano, Grapevine, Colleyville, Southlake, Keller, Roanoke, Northeast Fort Worth, Lewisville, Coppell, Flower Mound, Highland Village and Argyle. When not working, she enjoys checking out local wineries with her husband and going on family vacations.

Jonathan is a features reporter covering businesses and restaurants across the northern Dallas-Fort Worth region. He joined Community Impact in July 2023 after earning a journalism degree at The University of Texas at Arlington and writing for the college newspaper.

Destine Gibson is the editor of the Flower Mound-Highland Village-Argyle and Lewisville-Coppell editions. She graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington with a bachelor's in journalism and public relations. In 2019, she graduated from the University of Southern California with a master's in strategic public relations. Before joining Community Impact in 2022, she worked at The Dallas Morning News. Destine enjoys sports, traveling and reading.
