Puzzle Race

Teams of two to four people can compete against other teams in a timed jigsaw puzzle competition. Teams will have two hours to put together a puzzle provided by the Lewisville Public Library staff, according to the event description. The teams who complete their puzzles quickest or are the closest to completion at the end of two hours will win prizes. Teams must include at least one adult; other team members can be ages 6 and up. Registration is required.

Entrepreneurial program

Attendees can learn how to start their own business and be their own boss at this event. Runyon Coffee owner Justin Runyon and Kevin Henderson from SMB Law Group will provide insight on topics such as how to set up and organize a business, and how to find customers and improve product offerings. The program is intended for adults and teens in high school, according to the event description. No registration is required.

Tax assistance

AARP Tax-Aide volunteers will provide tax preparation assistance for basic federal income tax returns. An appointment is required, and a limited number of appointments are available. Those needing assistance should bring a photo ID, a copy of the previous year's income tax return, and documents related to this year's income tax such as a W-2 form. Appointments can be made by visiting or calling the Lewisville Public Library starting Jan. 16.

Weight loss seminar

Attendees will have the opportunity to discover effective medial treatment and lifestyle changes while gaining access to information and resources, according to the event description. The Caribbean Nights Gala


The public is invited to support the Coppell Arts Center by attending the gala. The event will feature live entertainment, a tropical-inspired buffet, Carnevale cocktails, casino games and auction prizes. Attendees are encouraged to wear their best cocktail attire. The Suffers will perform on the Huffines Performance Hall stage. The band defines their sound as Gulf Coast soul, a term they define as resulting from the mixture of the different cultures and musical styles present around the Gulf Coast and the city of Houston, including Cajun, African American, Mexican and Caribbean, according to the event description.
