Keep Lewisville Beautiful is seeking volunteers to help clean local parks, greenbelts and shoreline areas of the Trinity River and Lewisville Lake on Nov. 4.

What’s happening?

Keep Lewisville Beautiful is partnering with the city of Lewisville to host its 35th annual citywide waterway cleanup. The event will take place from 8 a.m.-noon.

Volunteers are needed to clean up community spaces and help on-site with event tasks at Lake Park, according to the event website.

The free event will be held in conjunction with Keep America Beautiful and Keep Texas Beautiful Fall Sweep activities.


The details
  • Cleanup will be from 8-11:30 a.m. Supplies will be provided, or volunteers can bring their own.
  • Volunteers will be assigned to clean and collect trash at one of 60 nearby locations.
  • An environmental expo featuring activities such as seed ball making and environmental crafts will follow from 10 a.m.-noon.
  • Attendees will receive a free snack lunch and volunteer shirt while supplies last.
  • Volunteers can also compete for the most trash collected and the most unusual item found as well as the chance to win door prizes.

Those interested in volunteering must register by Oct. 30. Registration is open to individuals and groups of all ages. Donations to Keep Lewisville Beautiful and event sponsorship opportunities are also available.
