In a nutshell.
Keep Lewisville Beautiful and Lewisville Parks and Recreation are partnering together again to recycle used Christmas trees in 2024. Through Jan. 10, live Christmas trees can be dropped off at Lewisville Lake Park to be recycled into mulch.
Trees taken must be stripped of all nails, wires, ornaments, lights and tinsel before being dropped off.
Free mulch will be available at the drop-off site between Dec. 26-Jan. 31, according to a city of Lewisville news release. Those coming for mulch must bring their own container and shovel. Mulch is provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
Coppell residents can place unflocked trees on the curb for pickup by Republic Services. Any decorations must be removed from the tree. Recycling and yard trimmings are expected to be collected Dec. 26 after Christmas. Normal trash collection will be pushed to Dec. 27.
