Voter turnout during the nearly two weeks of early voting in Denton County for the Nov. 8 election was about 36%, according to county election figures.

Between Oct. 24-Nov. 4, 218,077 voters cast in-person ballots in Denton County, data shows.

Voters will choose a county judge, their county commissioner representative and several other offices at the county level. Denton County is also requesting voter approval of a $650 million bond measure that would fund a host of transportation projects aimed at relieving congestion and improving safety.

Three propositions are on the ballot for Flower Mound. Proposition A is a vote on whether the town’s Crime Control and Prevention District should be continued for 20 years and the crime control and prevention district sales tax should be continued for 20 years.

Proposition B asks whether the town’s Fire Control, Prevention and Emergency Medical Services District should be continued for 20 years and the Fire Control, Prevention and Emergency Medical Services District sales tax should be continued for 20 years.


Proposition C concerns the reauthorization of the local sales and use tax at the rate of one quarter of one percent to continue providing revenue for maintenance and repair of municipal streets.

A host of candidates at the federal and state level are also on the ballot.

On Election Day, polls will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. A full list of Denton County voting locations can be found here.
